I am going to create a poster and a brochure to advertise my fathers business. The purpose of this product is to promote the business. In the poster and brochure I will show pictures of some other places that have been worked on as well as show a before and after images of the roofs.My target audience will be homeowners and retail companies that need the services and it will be for all genders. However as the company is only for flat roofs the poster and brochure won't be for people with pitched roofs. On the product it will also show the unique material that is used and why it is better than other products.

I will create the poster and brochure creating photoshop and illustrator to create a professional look to the products. I will use someone in some of the images to show the audience someone working. I will also put the owner of the business on the product giving it a professional feel it will need. I will distribute the product by printing some out and putting them around the area. I will also post it on places on the internet to get the maximum amount of people seeing it.

Purpose

The purpose of this poster and brochure is to tell people about the roofing business and to advertise the the company to people who needs to have their roofs fixed.Within the brochure I will write about the different material the client uses on his roofs and the process he goes through when he fixes or builds a roof.

Main Objectives

My first objective is to advertise the client's business and show the audience the type of roofing that the client does. As well as talking about the specialist material he uses.

My second objective is to put all the information in a colourful and appealing way to entice the audience. And I will add images to show people what the client does as well as a picture of him

My final objective is for people to go away knowing more about the material my client works with and the process he takes when doing the roof.

Competitors

My competitors are the local roofing businesses around doncaster, such as Turner Roofing,Complete Roofing Service, Apex roofing contractors, AMF roofing contractors limited and Parkes Bros limited. However im my brochure and leaflet I will talk about why my clients company is better than theirs as well as the experience that he has. It will look as professional as possible to make it look better than the competitors

Proposed Content

For the images the location will be wherever my client is working as I need to take pictures of him working. I will then edit the images so that the images are professional looking and not boring to look at. Also the Poster and brochure will be different colours so that it isn't boring but it also looks professional so that it gets my client more business. I will also need to 

Editing Content

I will create the poster and brochure on illustrator and I will edit the photographs on photoshop This will make the poster and brochure look very interesting. I also want to add images on the brochure of the unique material that my client uses. For my brochure.

Resources and Personnel

There are many resources that I will need to create a poster and brochure. Such as a Camera as I will need to take pictures of the roofs that my client has completed and I will compare both the images . I will also need a printer so that I can print the posters and brochures so that i can distribute the product around.

There is also many personnel that I would need

A photographer - So that they could take some professional images of my client and his work.

A Graphic Designer - So that they could design the poster and brochure to a professional level.

A Copywriter - So that my work isn't anywhere else and that it hasn't been plagiarized.

A writer - So that they can write on the poster and brochure to make it look as professional as possible

An Artist - So that they could bring my design to life

Other resources that I will need is A computer so that I can edit the poster and brochure as well as editing software.

Potential Income streams

- Potential sponsorship from other roofing companies

- Consent from clients to take photographs of the roof that my client is working on

Distribution and marketing methods

I will be distributing these posters by sending them to peoples houses as well as putting them on other peoples websites as an advertisement this will hopefully bring in a range of new customers into my clients business. The posters and brochures could also be placed in shop windows so that any passerby will be able to see the poster and get more directions as it will have the website on it and the clients mobile phone number. As the poster is also online it can be posted onto social media such as Facebook, so that the clients could see the what the company does and is without the clients looking at the website they can see if the company is good for them.The poster will also be posted on to different groups and construction websites to maximise how many people will see it. This brochure and leaflet will be for adults who want construction on their property so it doesn't need to have bright colours where it would have if it was for children. Another way I could distribute there posters and brochures is by putting them in shops so the customer in the shops could take the leaflet if they need construction.

Form and Genre

I will be making a poster and brochure for my clients business as it will give people a physical thing to look at. It will be an informative poster to show people the roofing business that I am promoting.

Print Conventions

For the format of the poster it is going to be quite modern so that it appeals to the target audience and it will look professional to attract potential new customers. The font styles will also be new and bold to make the companies name stick in the customers head. Hopefully bringing in new people to the business. I will print these posters and brochures by using a printer and the poster will have plenty of images on it to show of some of the work my client has already done.
